Boat seats

I'm not finding the helm seat in my new to me 206 Double Eagle very comfortable or enough side support. The boat rides pretty good but with a bad back I'd consider a shockwave base and new seat. Is it possible to mount a swivel to a shockwave base? I need to turn the seat to check the rod's. Anybody found a super comfortable seat they can recommend? Thank's for any input.Ray

If 7duece's seats don't work out you can check out these guys: https://www.smoothmovesseats.com/shop/

I installed one on a pedestal over a year ago and it works great. Reasonably priced and they have a distributor in Alberta.

The Smooth Move or the Shockwave would be an easier install than the Bostroms. I really like the look of the shockwave but the lack of a swivel is a bummer. I've tried the Smoothmove and I thought the performance was OK for taking the edge of the big bumps but not the same as the more expensive options. Maybe other's have had a better experience.

So a swivel will work,it makes sense that it has to lock in place while running. I'll have to check out my height requirement,it will have to work with my built in fiberglass base.

I've only got 8" from base to bottom of seat and the S5 shockwave is about 9" without a swivel,so it looks like I can't have the swivel. I think that's a deal breaker,so I'm just looking for a better helm seat now.

http://www.airwavepedestal.com/ I like these seat bases as they have different base heights. Plan on getting one for my boat, I also have a bad back that does not like choppy water.
