Boat Question

Looking at new boat, owner says he uses often. However there is a build up of sea weed, algae, on the kicker prop/ring which stays submerged when moored. Wouldn't the prop and ring be clean if the kicker was used regularly?, or would it still keep the sea weed attached even though it's used regularly?

Once the slimy green algae gets growing, it probably needs to be scrubbed off. That only takes a few minutes, so the care he has taken for the boat in other areas might be called into question.

I use my kicker regularily, the prop and skeg get a pretty good build up of green that only comes off when the boat is pulled for service and pressure washed.(not goona jump in to shrub either!)

I'm setting my priorities. I'm making time for fishing.

I guess I'd rather spend money on teaser heads and flashers than a longhandled deckbrush too.
