is a 2459 bayliner trophy a good ocean boat?

Buddy has a 23' Trophy that he uses out on the VI West Coast.

It rides 7 out of 10 but his trim tabs are not working, if he fixed them he would improve the performance.

My big complaint on the Trophy and most other centre consul boats are the little hard seats they put in them. Try sitting on these suckers, pounding out to the fishing grounds for an hour or so.

Or am I just getting old and cranky.
