2002 Yamaha F60 question

Hey peeps, I have a yamaha 4 stroke from 2002 and it has approx. 1000 hours. It seems to be going through crank oil. About 1 quart every couple months. Not sure if it's burning oil or somehow leaking it. Does not blow blue, does not have any oil pooling anywhere under the cowling. Runs fine, does not foul plugs. Never leaves oil slick in the water. I'm stumped. Maybe it burns it slow enough that I can't see any smoke.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Maybe the rings are getting a little worn down and it's starting to burn some oil. Not enough to notice a blue exhaust but enough to make it noticeable after a few months. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Has the motor been serviced recently? It's probably time to take a look at the compression and make sure you don't have one cylinder that is lower than the rest.

A friend had a problem similar with his F50.( almost same engine)
there was an oil seal worn out, which caused leakage.
the difference was that you could see oil in the water periodically.

How many hours do you figure you are running the outboard during that period? Would Yamaha Ring Free possibly help?
