I've always had decent to good luck at those depths in Howe sound and in the harbour 40-70 .

What depths you doing crab at I found in the Howe area I have dropped to 150 and get nice ones and 70 has been the shallowest.

I would think it would stay the way it is now .good question though !!

We tried every spot yesterday just shakers for us ,bunch of crabs and prawns made the day though and seeing these guys swimming in front of me was a bit odd lol not the best pics though .

I try not to hit my down rigger till I have the fish up and close ,seems the rigger is a dinner bell for them .

We had a killer few hours of the north arm used our bait up quick then put a white hootchie on and a pink squirt and was still slamming them ,I don't recall getting big springs on pink gear but was awesome to see and the white hootchie was lights out also , we ended up with over a dozen big...

Dam I looked at ten times and don't see it haha ,ya I'll still go out and have some catch and release fun and wait.for the coho to start .
