Not sure how to post without hitting the reply button.
Just wanted to share the last weeks action up in WH.
We had a shot sept 9th as water was dreamy. Off the dock at 5 am, All smiles added a flir to his 285...
There was always a few stragglers around if you looked for them in the day, but evening, night time, and first thing in the morning was thick. They go to the bottom during the day.
We just cut the tentacle portion off just in front of the eyes, pull that little ball out in the centre of the tentacles. That’s the beak, then good to go. The rest of the squid, just slide your knife up inside to the tip to open up, scrape the guts out, and the plastic looking piece of...
That’s awesome!! We were staying in the double floater and jigging up squid for dinner off our deck with a white point Wilson dart, and had a 15lb spring snack at it a foot under the surface. 🤷♂️. They are there.
There was lots of fish in behind the light at times, gooding and Cliff were also producing, but smaller fish.
Just around the corner from Lawn point in brooks bay was hot! And fish in the mid to high 20’s.
Just back from WH, spent 5 full days out there with bumpy to calm waters! Springs were very plentiful, at times we couldn’t get the second line down, as the line was ripped out of the clip as it hit 133 ft. Spoons and flash flies were great, however the white Glo cuddle fish was the champ...

Good luck up there, we were using the Irish cream skinny G, behind a chartreuse flasher. Tried naked skinny G with no results. We did pick up a couple coho tacking between Cliff and Harvey cove, around the 4lb mark. The squid should be in Grants bay when you get there, it was to nautical to go...
