@Sharphooks Yup, the tug is the drug lol The violent tug on the spoon sometimes will be arm wenching! Have yet to get that on the same scale on the fly yet. Mind you, I didn’t fly fish much back then. Lot more now but lot less fish now. So lots casting practices. I had a T steelhead pull me...

Subject: Cowichan River closure- a portion of the river

Ya, it’s really too bad and it feels like they shut the hatchery down without proper consulting all interest holders or try different rearing methods first. It would be really hard to bring it back up again, am afraid. Once it’s shutdown, then it’s really difficult to bring it back up again...

Nice fish! Scrambling up and down those rocks, steep slopes and dodging trains are an adventure itself! Well done. I preferred to chilled with the big crowd in Little Italy. lol

Hi BC Coast Pilot, Thanks, was this from another company in Canada? I tried a bunch of locally but they don’t carry it. I went to the Dutton site too and it’s in USD. Figure to try locally before going to them but might just be easier. Thanks,

I think before the Steelhead Inn and couple other accommodations such as Shaw springs, Circle J motel was our main stay. The owner, I believe his name was Bill, was quite the character. We used to have to call multiple times to confirm a booking. lol If he likes you, then you are in or else...

TRUCKS BOATS AND HELICOPTERS: PART IV

Sharphooks, interesting lol Whatever works lol The stoneflys worked well in the cowichan for steelies too. Oh, man, the famous T, those fish are definitely different breeds, which we already all know too familiar, they would still go after the hardwares no matter how cold the water was...

    Torqeedo motors

Being using one for last 6-7 years. They are worth every penny IMO. As fast as 3 hp gas if required. Light, only about 27-30 LB including the battery. Can go 3-4 days with lake fishing trolling speed without charging. Pushed my pontoon boat about 5 mph with 3/4 speed and the battery can last...

    Carp on Vancouver Island

Makes sense.. I have gotten a few with trolled flys but also quite a few fouled hooked trolling flys. For the experts? All the fouled hooked ones are hooked on their dorsal fin. They must use their lateral line to sense the fly at times?
