Been to this lake numerous times in the am, anyways gonna head there for an evening fish this weekend. Anyone know if the gate gets locked in the evening? I am not camping but might stay till 9 or so and don’t want to be locked in.
Was up at Telegraph this past tuesday/wednesday looking for Hali. Fished hard most of tues and wed till noon till wind came up. Unfortunately no luck, we did loose one which felt like a good one. Never been skunked up there till this trip. Fished backside of malcolm towards lizard, between...
Hey everybody i am heading from Comox to salmon arm and wondering what route to take. I have only driven the Coke once and it was in a small car so i was flyin. This time its

My dad and i have gone there the last 4 summers. Good campground its exactly what u see online. You do have to drive from the campground to the launch though. Also just pay for moorage its reasonable and it beats launching the boat at 6am. Fishing as someone else said is hit and miss, we usually...
Thanks for the input decided to go for the White lake one. Gonna rent a pontoon boat for 1 day from the other rv site at the lake for only $150 for the day fuel incl. compared to $450 for one on shuswap. Apparantly white lake is really good for swimming, really warm and doesnt get rough. Also...
heading to Shuswap right after August long. gonna be my fam with 2 young kids(5&3) meeting friends from fort McMurray who also have a young child. got it narrowed down to 2 campgrounds. Cottonwood which is on Shuswap, and Woodhaven campground which is on White Lake. 2 polar opposites in the way...
In regards to the fanny launch. We launch a 16.5 aluminum there all the time. Shortens the run to tribune for us, as dad lives in union Bay. Never had a problem with being boxed in or tides.
Thanks for all the help everybody.tried at the submerged power lines that bigbruce mentioned and landed 4 fairly quickly but 2 were small, but picked up another 2 same area the next day so we called it a decent trip as we got what we wanted, no time for Lings though, spent too much time grindin...

I have a Griffin case i think u can get them at london drugs now for about $60 has plugs for all the hole like headphone camera and charger. Ive left it on my tailgate in pouring rain for bout 20 mins and it was completely dry inside, but you can just remove the plug for your bad elf.
Stayed on an island one time up there, as once the fog cleared off due to the wind it was too rough the rest of the day to head back, pretty neat experience though to stay overnight on an island with no shelter, truly roughin it.
Thanks Fishwish found them. Any good Hali spots around those areas? Ive gone up to telegraph the past couple years mainly for Halibut. Its kinda the only place our 16 footer can go so we go there but have never had much luck up there for Halis, not sure why?
Went out last sunday, too windy to get on outside if Flora so just fished around Tribune. No luck bout 10-12 boats didnt see anything caught at all in about 4 hours. My Dad went out on Tuesday and did get to Flora and got skunked as well. Maybe its slowin down out here. Or maybe its just us.
Thanks Kach, I will try that. One quick question did you wait to do all that until after navionics could locate u through wifi anymore (ie got to far from shore) or do you just do it immediately when you get on the boat?
