You didn't try this? Just spray it on, and you won't have any problems with sticky bunks. I spray it on every year or so, and I have the same can I bought ten years ago when I bought the boat/trailer. Be careful unloading as always; don't unhook boat until its in the water.

Leader length will change given what type of leader you are using? Was that 42" leader with 80 pound line? If I use 60 pound leader, would I not shorten my leader vs using 80 pound?
Okay, here are some newly rigged weapons. I used Mustad 95170 5/0 stainless hooks and glow beads in all but one. It's hard to find bigger inserts, but I like the glow beads in the white one. The 60 pound line is indeed stiff.
I used 50lb fluorocarbon, and it worked well, but the leader may have been a bit too long, longer than for regular hootchies. I think I'll try 40 to 42 inches this summer. I found some 60lb fluorocarbon I can try; it looks quite stiff.
I'll post some images later when I get some bigger crimps...
