As far as I know the 225 only gives a continuous alarm for over heating or low oil pressure. The way to determine the culprit is to observe the lights as well. What is the year and model of your motor? Do you happen to have the serial number?

At camp run it at 2000 rpm for a few minutes..it should trigger the alarm. It won’t trigger it at low rpm’s
