"Someday" - you inspired me so we headed out this morn. Gear was working pretty good and we hooked 4 undersize springs in a couple hours. Wind came up pretty good to 16 knots so we headed back. Was nice to get out though. Lost a cannon ball due to not checking for frayed downrigger line. Darn.

Slow for me. My grandson & I fished for 5 hrs today at the Fingers, humps and Entrance Island. Two shakers and one breakaway. Tried all depths and changed gear often. Nothing. Lots of boats out and nice out there. Didn't see any nets out though. Good to get out but...I'm in a slump.

Yes Nanaimo has picked up. Yesterday aft was rough out there but fish were active. This aft was calm and it was slower but was still productive.

I broke one of the latches off on my last trip and decided to look up replacement parts on the internet. My buddy M.T. Pockets suggested I just check out the local fishing supply stores and lo & behold the two I tried in Nanaimo both carried hinges and latches.
