I'm new to fishing off the victoria water front just curious as to what area is considered the gap thank you for your time.

[Whole in the Water]

Fished OB Flats yesterday morning. Got 1 hatchery 12 lbs., 1 wild, 15lbs., wild was released. Saw a boat net a 20+lb. hatchery. Saw 6 other boats get fish between 6-11 am. Bouncing bottom using AP Sand Lance spoon

trolled monday morning on the flats from 8-2 nadda
then jigged up a 7 pound salmon and buddy got a nice rock cod
first salmon i've ever jigged up, lots of fun!

Fished from 7-12:30 out front and across to Albert Head. Not a sniff. Spoke to one other guy who had no luck either.

Indeed! Out in a buddies boat yesterday and we lost a screamer, probably a teener but we never saw it. With the slot we had to release an 18 or 19 lber that was not clipped. It looked like a US type fish, long and narrow with lots of spots, especially on the tail. If it was in fact a Fraser fish, not to worry, it was released in great shape and should have more than enough energy to fatally impale itself into a lower Fraser gill net. Was thinking it would be nice if we could tag it with our contact info. which would save the trouble of looking for a buyer and we could buy our fish back. We did end up keeping a clipped 5 lber as a consultation prize. All were caught on Coho killers, two dragging gravel and the released one was up about 30 feet off the bottom. Also released a number of ling cod that were a little under sized, which we hooked up dragging gravel.

On the holiday monday we went out to the flats and caught this hatchery slab. Exceeded my 90 cm ruler.
Splattet Back mini squirt in a jughead. Dummy flashers. A bonus as was with stepdad on his 70th

Hi Scott, Whats happening next week with Hatchery fish? I have not seen or heard any reports other than over 67 CM hatch is fine till June 15th?

Maybe nothing, I guess we wait and see ?

Only trailer at cattle point last night. A bit breezy. Thanks to a generous local angler for the secret weapon!

11am double header on bottom in oakbay. Couldnt find any after that. Not huge nothing to brag about just the epic double. Hoochies and spoon

It was good for about an hour off OB flats this morning. Fished 6 - 10. Caught 3 between 6-8lbs between 7-8 am. Moved to Gap around 9 and caught one rockfish. Fish on coho killer and AP spoon.

Fished the waterfront this morning landed a 4 and 19, lost a 10 beside the boat. The 19 was caught at 100 in 150 on a white hootchie. Great day on the water.

Deckhands slept in so ended up fishing 9-12 Saturday. No bites and no crab and no other boats! Boat handled the wind well, hope I didn't misread the regs and the winds are why we fished alone
