Housing -
additional non occupant tax- don't disagree.

Child care-
where is the universal $10 a day ?
it will never happen.

MSP-
asking employers, to fund the whole bill ??
typical socialist move.
sorry, but people have to shoulder some of the cost to make it work.

The only person more difficult to listen to in that party is Carol James. If not for swearing at the TV anytime I hear them speaking I'd run from the room with fingers in my ears.

Too funny! Even now that I've finally gotten over the effects of the Kool-Aid and understand that the liberal government being in power has nothing to do with the success of my small business I still can't stand that woman's voice. It really is tough sometimes siding with the "losers". But hey any of us lucky enough to be successful in this world should do our part to help the little guy... and the whales.

If complaining about Carol James voice is all there is they did alright on thier first budget. I don't like her voice either but Trudeaus is far worse as he thinks he's still talking to students and I want to plug my ears and run from the room.

The worst.

Andrew Wilkinson does it for me, he does a great impression of a weasel.

Yes exactly. Less than 6 months after the libs proclaim “we need to do things different” and “we need to listen to the people” this guy is spouting the exact same garbage Christie Crook was talking before the people of bc gave her the bums rush. Liberals. They never learn.

Well maybe you should take a look at this :(
Tax increases for working families:

1.) Eliminate the BC Education Tax Credit for students effective 2019.
2.) Increase carbon tax by 17% effective April 1 2018.
3.) Increase certain passenger vehicle sales tax (PST) by up to 50% effective April 1 2018.
4.) Retroactively apply PST to software maintenance charges (incl updates), like your Microsoft Office updates on your computer, to April 1 2013.
5.) Charge PST to AirBnB customers.
6.) Increase Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax in Capital region by 57%.
7.) Increase Tobacco Tax by 12% on individual cigarettes, and increase it by 53% on loose tobacco.
8.) Instate a tax of $5 per $1000 of assessed value, increasing to $20 per $1000, on homes owned by people who may work out of province.

Here's an excerpt from the province this morning, I'm guessing this is why the steel workers union put thier support behind the liberals.

James delivered a budget presentation at the Victoria Conference Centre, and then a budget speech in the legislature, that completely ignored forestry, mining, oil-and-gas development, fishing, aquaculture and energy generation.

There was not even a single mention of any of these lifeblood B.C. industries. Not one. That’s pretty shocking.

By focusing solely on social spending and raising taxes, the NDP runs the risk of further alienating the rural north, interior and coast of B.C., where unfairly snubbed resource industries make the lavish spending possible.

Put it together...

While I agree with some of what your saying, I need to point out that “the liberal led resource sector” your talking about had the run of the province for sixteen years. What did we gain by it? Billions in debt. Dumbing down of our students and govt ignoring the electorate and the courts too until finally people had enough. I’m from the interior and can honestly say that maybe not everywhere in the Okanagan but definately in my community that liberal support has never been lower.

I can’t see why you’re shocked. That’s always been the NDP mandate. If you want to work and actually make something of yourself they are not the party for you.

The people voting for them showed how dumbed down we really are.

NDP will only F&%k things up for another 3-1/2 years
before people wake up and remember.
Hopefully the strong economy we have now can tough it out.
