Columbia River Chinook Forecast

Glad I have a deep drop reel. This will give me more time to look for sable fish.

Way things are looking, we now have to fish below 1500' before we can catch something we can keep

Suzuki and gang want it closed , to feed the sea lions /seals/and hungry Orcas.
seriously.......get ready for a boot in the butt.

capt hook, I agree. As I alluded to above, these type of actions result in winners & losers. I don't expect to win all the time. I also realize that when the fish win, in the long term fisher persons win.
This is a complex issue. It is possible that a population crash of the Columbia river fish may not mean a similar crash of other runs; many runs end-up in SEAK to grow up but they travel different routes to get there. NOAA does a lot of plankton & juvenile Salmon trolls off of Oregon & WA to predict Chinook abundance. The Fed's pay a lot of fish counters at fish ladders on the CR dams, so the abundance of Jack Chinook can be used to determine future abundance. Some runs were affected more by the "Blob" than others. I think people like Fishtofino & Trophywife are well-located for what is probably gonna happen.
