I like this boat, but do you think it looks like more of a lake boat?

My first boat was a 17' K & C with a 90 HP Merc (Tower of Power). With that motor on it and a kicker it was stern heavy and to compensate for that I installed custom made fuel tank in the bow. I used it for fishing around the Hornby and Denman Island and it was certainly good enough in those areas, but if you are thinking more west coast fishing I would get something bigger. Personally I thing it is more of a lake boat.

Check out this 22 foot Al. boat and trailer on the Govt. Auction Site. For some one with skills and limited cash this may be a good project. Unfortunately it is in Terrace so inspection and taking possession would require going there if you were the successful bid. Obviously someone thinks it is worth at least $16,600 as that is the current bid with 4 days left.

With a day and a half remaining on the online auction, the bid has now jumped to $22700.

I haven't looked close but walk by it in the harbor. When I'm down next I can give it a closer look if it's still moored so I'm really not much help at this point.
