Bimini Suggestions

Posting for a friend. He's looking into either taking this whole thing off, or closing in the gap between with the windshield and the leading edge of the bimini and possibly adding sides.

Do you guys think it's best to start fresh or try to add 'panels'? Suggestions are appreciated. Not only what to possibly do, but a referral to a local to the lowermainland Top-Guy would be awesome.

I think it comes down to appearances. The current bimini is a bit too far back to look like the majority of installs. Many boat canvas installers are fairly artistic.

Yeah, i'm thinking his best bet is to get a panel made to close in (either clear, canvas or a combination) just the portion from the top of the windshield to the leading edge of the bimini. Keeping rain and wind from coming in over the windshield shooting into that gap.

I would ditch the bimini for a conventional top with side curtains.
Keeps the sun and the rain off your head.
They can reuse his existing tubing.
I just had one done for $650.00

i enclosed mine with lexan.....

works great. hinged a centre flap
with a couple of conduit stiff arms
sides and frontwards.
