Had this not happened Sonia would never have been inspired to run for office. I find it ironic, and sad in a way. Had the liberals done the right thing they might still be in power. I hope what happened yesterday is a lesson for them. You need to listen to communities.

Much work to do to fix this but at least there is a start.....

This wasn't uprising Apegbc was not expected to do anything, and Justice Sewell did find an issue with it in his ruling . But what came out now in APEGBC is now the government liaison with the ministry of environment knew all along about the potential business deal. Very interesting since the government disclosed they didn't know about it. Even more disturbing is that they had no problem with it. The professional reliance model doesn't work. So many lies with this thing!

Not surprising company is suing former government for compensation for cancelling permit. If successful taxpayers on the hook for compensation so it seems how I read the article.

After all that the Victoria residents will now get dragged into this as well as the rest of BC. If you add up cleanup cost when they happen, litigation from provincial lawyers, and now this mess is going to be a huge cost to everyone. I would be interested to know what the dollar figure is now the public had paid to date.

What a complete mess.

Sorry you guys are having to go through this crap SV.... Just another example of the damage caused by the idiots (provincial liberals) that were at the helm.

Yeah, so we can clean up and fix this mess with tax dollars. As usual, the company took what they could and now leaves the mess behind for us to deal with. We need stiff securities for enterprises as this.
