Sand dabs and sole

Are there sand dabs and sole around Nootka Sound, particularly up around Critter Cove?

Probably tons as it would be rare for someone to target them.

I want to try them for lingcod bait. It's popular in WA, so I thought about trying it up there.

They work damn good, just be sure to check the legality regarding live bait. (Not saying it's illegal just best to check) we have tried using them in Victoria and they work. If you find a sandbar we used to catch them jigging small jigs in around 40 feet of water.

Years ago my friend got his butt chewed-on real good by the bait dock operator at Big Bay on Stuart Island for having live Sole for bait - pretty funny; first & last time I have seen my friend have the willpower to keep his Trump-loving mouth shut.

Kids are Moutcha were jigging up mackerel at the dock. The guides wanted them for Hali bait. Probably mackerel at critter too.
