I thought ling cod opened May 1st? Can't find any info does anyone know when it opens for area 14?..........BRS

It opened. The website is under construction so you have to search for the notices:

Possession limit: two (2)
Size limit: 65cm
Annual limit: ten (10)
Gear: angling (hook and line) and spear fishing while diving.

From Sheringham Point West to the international border is considered area 20-4 and that is open year round.

Is that a new reg? I could swear it was only rockfish open all year out there and ling was same opening as the rest of area 20 with a limit of 3 instead of 1.

Does anyone know why it says on the FishBC app that Ling Cod maximum is 65cm? This is very confusing as shouldn't it say minimum size 65cm.

The app developer should not be entering data, it should read data from the main source of fishery notices/regs. If that's how it's working, that's a programming flaw.

That's mostly true but things like headers are typically entered by the coder.
He would have to develop an algorithm that uses logic on the data, you couldn't simply just read it and reproduce it otherwise you would get a table of gibberish
