I've purchased from online Halfords and U-Line for premade bags, both good products. Halfords had really fast shipping which I didn't need but still had to pay for, and it wasn't cheap. These bags worked great in the Food Saver sealers, and as @Birdsnest says anything is cheaper than the Foodsaver branded rolls or bags. Definitely get bags rather than rolls, half the sealing really adds up on a big run of fish. The 8x12 bag is perfect for a meal size portion of salmon or hali. You can keep a bit of roll stock on hand for in case you want to freeze a side of fish or a whole coho or sockeye.

I usually use these from this site and the guy there is great to deal with but the bags are a bit lighter than food saver brand:

I did look into the dnr company, but the 8"12" bags are 3.25mm. It may not seem like a lot but found a 4mm bag seems to hold up better.

I always had to put a little more pressure on the lid of my food saver. Gasket looks good and all. Pain in the butt some times. Would like to up grade to one that has the area for the roll and a razor to cut off.. Cabela ones look awesome. Big bucks though lol...

I was tired of spending money on sealers every two years. At the beginning of last season I bought a chambered vacuum sealer, Vacmaster VP215.
Best money I have ever spent. Fast dependable and if you have an option to buy in the states fairly cheap.
It cost me 710 us, and I also bought 2000 bags for 150 bucks. This year I bought another 3000 bags for 175. Nothing compares in my eyes.

Ive got an older seal-a-meal unit that just wont quit. The neoprene gasket it shot but I just moisten it every 4-5 bags with a damp cloth and it seals it up.

After my second food saver died I bought one of these at cabelas 5 years ago and it's never missed a beat.

The sealing time is adjustable and 1/4" wide so you can make it powerful enough to melt through halibut slime for a great seal...
