We being Canadian are too nice and don't want to upset anyone. DFO will not stand firm on establishing a plan to replenish the stocks by limiting catch sizes. Even if a plan was formed,nobody would enforce it for all people,no matter skin color.
Washington State did this a few years back for chinook on the Columbia. Didn't matter who you were,fish illegally you were arrested and all gear confiscated.. Our US neighbour had the balls to do it, guess we have been neutered by certain special interest groups!

Next they will be saying we catch all the Sockeye and we should be shut down on them too. lol I bet if Pinks were selling for $12.50 a pound they would suffer a mysterious population decline as well.
