Good place for pink salmon fishing in Fresh water

I mainly fished in the ocean and havent done too much fishing in the freshwater but this year is pink season and I heard that they are fairly easy to catch even in fresh water. Where would be a good place to start this year and when? I am new to fresh water fishing so maybe a place that is easy to cast and less chance of getting hooked on bottom....

Are you close to the lower mainland? If so try the Fraser during all of September. They'll be in there from Richmond all the way to Chilliwack and can be readily had on spoons, spinners, buzzbombs, flies etc. It's a straightforward fishery well suited for beginners.
