Here's a couple pictures of my Ocean Boat, we live in Qualicum Beach and have a Summer House in the Ucluelet Area.
We spend allot of time in Barkley Sound and Offshore between May and September, one of the nicest Areas in the World as far as I'm concerned.

Enough with the polishing, it will never be as clean as your tackle box.Need to get some blood on the deck!

Here's my budget fish slayer. I was looking at a 20' glass with a cuddy, but then I decided to quit my job and get the engineering degree I have been thinking about for a while. Did all the work myself, so I'm not into her for a ton of money. I am super happy with her and she is fishy as can be. Since the "after" pic I have added a few things, and soon she will be completely rigged with VHF, Honda 9.9 kicker, nav lights, GPS/sounder, horn, etc etc. I work on her when the weather keeps me off the water, otherwise I'm out fishing! If I buy a truck that can tow more than my Jeep, I might look at trading up to a glasser with a cuddy, but for $30 in gas for 8 hours of fishing locally I can't complain. Here's a little before and after.

Alex...that looks sweet! Nice work!

I'm curious why you'd put a heavy kicker on a boat like that, especially considering that you've already got a four stroke main engine??

First boat. Bought this year.. 1981 16' Sangster with same nostalgia Johnson 90

Been awesome so far feels very solid even in some chop heading up the mouth

...Trailer needs some lovin'
Great first boat, I had a '73 and went everywhere in her, more crab and fish hit her deck as well as sturgeon brought to the side than my current boat...lol.
Have fun man

Thanks! I enjoy working on them almost as much as running them.

Kicker is for backup power, only weighs around 75 lbs. I want to cross over to the gulf islands so having another motor is good peace of mind. The main is awesome for trolling so I'd only throw on the kicker for longer runs.

Well, this is all I got for now. Father in Law's Dad's boat. Lived it's life in Courteny/Comox and fished a lot in Campbell River. It is a 1960's vintage Thorne's brand 14' with a 30hp Mariner. 30MPH boat at this point.

Shown without the kicker and riggers which I take off during transport. Gets me on the water easily, cheaply and reliably. It is a very fishy.

Story goes the Old Guy used to change the the colour and paint scheme to keep followers off his hot spots. When I took it out of the brush to get it back water ready, there were multiple layers of paint, I gently sanded it down and repainted it blue.
