Do you guys know how to tell if your vehicle has a 4 or x # of barrel carb?
Or what engines in general have a 4 barrel?
Thanks

A four barrel carburetor has 4 barrels where fuel and air is
mixed, 2 called the primary and 2 called secondary. Primary barrels provide fuel for steady speeed cruising. Secondary barrels provide extra fuel and air mix when you stop on the accelerator.

Take only what you need.
Not sure if you figured out the answer from FA's response.
Take off the the air cleaner and see how many ports (or upright tubes) their are, 2 or 4.
4 barrels provide the oomph when you stomp the gas pedal.
They also suck gas real quick (while stomping).
If you're looking at an older carbourated vehicle, and you're a young buck, get the mechanic to check it out.
Or get a nice sedate fuel injected Corolla and cruise serenely but slowly.
Hope this is of some help.
