What type of wire do you use for your anchovy bait holder? The stuff I bought last year is too thick.

Try a lighter gauge. Once you find the right one and the roll is on you'll know-dirty

Stay tuned for my how too wire an anchovy head and how to spin bait seminar. Red is right, if you brine them right you don't need a wire. Sometimes the wire is more of a hassle than its worth.

The copper wire I use, is the bare wire in 14/2 house wire.
Cut the end that you push through the anchovy at a 60 degree angle. It helps to feed through the bait.

Thanks Davie, I'll try the 14/2 wire.

Not the insulated wire in a 14/2 wire use the bare ground conductor only.
