In area 12, your daily limit is 2 chinook, 2 hatchery coho, 4 chum, 4 pinks, and/or 4 sockeye. The maximum you can have is 4 salmon per day in any combination of this. So you can have a daily limit of 2 chinook and 2 pinks. The halibut daily limit is 2 per day.
The possession limit is generally double your daily limit for each species of fish except for halibut which is 3 total possession.
These are the legal limits per person (with a fishing license), not per boat.
I believe this is to prevent guys from going out on a stock your freezer fishing expedition :( where they would go for a week and have many daily limits worth of fish. This way the max you can carry home is your possession limit. [^]
