Anyone have a time tested Brine and Cooking time for smoking a Turkey?
I bought 2 for Christmas, one to smoke and one to Deepfry!

Try sending a private message to Bub. He does turkeys. In fact there will be a drum stick smoked by him out today at the Comox Valley Christmas Party.

Let me know if you need his email address. As he is back east and I know he is checking his email.

Thanks Owen.
If you could send that to me it would be great!
Has your party started? Too far to drive, 18+ hrs., but I would have liked to have come.

however you smoke it make sure you throw it in the oven or BBQ afterwards to crisp up the skin,
makes the house smell pretty yummy for a while too
also do a search here for some time tested recipes

All I would say is use very little sugar unless you want your turkey to taste more like ham. And make sure to pick up necks etc make gravy. No drippings and bones for broth after turns out salty.
