08 GMC w/brake module

I just got my boat trailer converted to electric over hydraulic and from what I understand the trailer brake module will not operate these type of brakes. Has anyone run into this situation?

I was looking to buy that system also and that was the impression I got also.

what did you go with if anything? the shop i got it done by didn't lead me to believe there wasn't any reason the brake module in the truck wouldn't work.
