Keep it simple." "Simple is better."
I can't say how often I have heard these words, but
one thing I can say is that it often holds true for
almost everything. A great example is the new "Power
Grip" release clip by Scotty. |
When I first had a look at the new design of release clip
by Scotty, I was amazed at its simplicity and lack of moving
parts in comparison to other clips on the market today. The
great thing about that, is the reliability. Fewer parts, so
fewer things to go wrong, or wear out. Anyone who is serious
about fishing, knows the value in that.
Besides the simple design, there are a number of other things
that make this a great release clip. The shape of the clip
fits better into your hands than any other clip I know. That
is a real bonus when your leaned over the gunnel of your boat
and preparing you lines, especially if there is any kind of
wind. The large shape of the clip makes it easier to grasp
and simpler to manage once in your hands. Simply squeeze the
handles together and the jaws open making it easy to place
your line.
The aerodynamic design of the release offers minimum drag
in the water and won't catch weeds or debris.
The "Power Grip" has extra holding power ideal
for trolling flashers, dodgers, large jigs or multiple bait
setups. This new high teck release offers up to ten pounds
of adjustable release tension. Like many other release clips,
the "Power Grip" has an adjustable tension that
varies according to the placement of your line within the
pads. The further back you put your line in the pad, the heavier
the tension.
The "Power Grip" comes in the following models:
- #1170 18 " leader with cannonball snap
- #1171 18" leader with self-locating snap
- #1172 30" leader with self-locating snap
- #1173 48" leader with self-locating snap
