This is another one of those local secrets, known to the inhabitants for years to produce exceptional angling results, that has only relatively recently seen the development of lodge facilities.

North by only 50-60 miles of the legendary Hakai Pass/Rivers inlet area, these waters host the southbound schools of Chinook Salmon from late June through till the end of August. Some of these magnificent fish have been known to reach weights exceeding 70lbs., making this area a trophy destination.

August and September produce excellent results for those seeking the Northern Coho as they feed one last time before heading up the rivers to their spawning streams. These magnificent fighting fish, have been long noted for the acrobatic displays of power, and have been known to reach weights exceeding 20 lbs. in the Milbanke area.

The area offers both well protected waters on the lea side of several islands, or access to the open waters over the Continental Shelf where huge Halibut migrate into the shallower shoals during the late spring and early fall.

Wildlife is abundant in this area, and the many islands and channels to be explored offer limitless access to the true beauty of the British Columbia Coastline. Milbanke Sound sits at the southern entrance to the Inside Passage, so anglers will frequently see several of the many cruise ships piloting their way north and south between Vancouver and the Glaciers of Alaska.
