From Cape Caution southward to Vancouver are a series of magnificent fjord-like inlets featuring several remote lodges in spectacular settings, where mountains drop almost vertically into the water. This entire area teems with wildlife, and provides access to early season winter Chinook salmon from April onwards.

Mid-summer brings transient runs of Coho salmon and Chinook salmon heading down coast to their rivers of origin. The area is well known for consistent salmon fishing that is set in a backdrop of breathtaking beauty.

The myriad of islands and channels provide well protected waters for the angler, and many of these mainland-side fishing spots can be accessed by the northern Vancouver Island charter operators.

The waters of Sullivan Bay, Kingcome Inlet, Knight inlet, and Bute Inlet are exposed to the vast numbers of migrating salmon swimming southward around to the top of Vancouver Island.
